We provide examples of our project experience below in the form of case studies to further demonstrate our capabilities in the region. As a matter of policy and protection of client confidentiality, Al Sur Security does not divulge the name of clients or projects, often due to the sensitivity of the matters concerned.

Situation

The client was appointed to take on an oil field in eastern Iraq, to drill new wells and explore the oil levels in the area in order to produce oil and contribute to the country’s broader output levels. There were strict deadlines enforced on the oil company to deliver a specified output. To achieve this, a large number of skilled workers were recruited to carry out the works from construction to drilling. The oil company had an obligation to provide a safe and secure environment for these workers.

Al Sur’s approach

Al Sur provided armed mobile protection teams to transport the oil workers from the airports to the base camp and to transport them around the oilfield; we also provided the base camp security, designing security systems and Operations room. Our design team worked directly with the Client’s security team to fully understand the requirements and develop the design.

Situation

Situation

Our client was handed over an abandoned power station north of Iraq, this power station was an ISIS stronghold and hadn’t been operated since the fall of the area. The mission was to get up and running and feeding into the main grid in a very strict timeline

Al Sur’s approach

Al Sur’s security designed a whole new concept that was up to operational standards and that incorporated all the right layers of security. It included the peripheral security as well as the internal one. The design was there to facilitate the work flow rather than to obstruct it.

We first established the operations center out of which all activities will be dispatched and simultaneously started implementing the peripheral security measure to secure the camp.

Situation

The client had discovered evidence which suggested that its sales in Iraq may have been involved in large scale counterfeit intrusion. In order to be able to respond appropriately to the regulators, the client needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of what had occurred, how and the scale of the intrusion

Al Sur’s approach

Al Sur deployed a multi-disciplinary team of Subject matter Experts including investigative experts, product knowledge experts and FMCG experts in order to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive suite of services was available to the client to assist in the conduct of the investigation. Teams were deployed immediately in multiple locations to secure samples, prices and other investigation related matters. Import experts with strong ties were able to assist, in order to locate the source of the goods.
